National Emblem (PRC) The National Emblem of China includes Tiananmen Gate, where Mao declared the foundation of Peoples Republic of China, in a red circle. Above the Gate are five stars; the largest represents the CPC, while the four smaller stars represent the four social classes.The Four Symbols, are four mythological creatures appearing among the Chinese constellations along the ecliptic, and viewed as the guardians of the four cardinal directions.
